Rugby is a great way for children to socialise with kids from other schools, and create lifelong friendships, whilst establishing solid core values, building resilience, and improving fitness.

Our coaches are RFU qualified and plan sessions to bring out the best in each and every player. You are not just a number at Mersea Island, you are an important part of what makes the club so special.

The RFU Age Grade Rugby system allows for players to systematically build their cores skills towards the full 15-a-side game:

TAG Rugby - Non-contact rugby for 4-8 year olds (Reception-Y3)
Mini Rugby - Contact rugby for 8-12 year olds (Y4-Y7)
Junior Rugby - Contact rugby for 12-18 year olds (Y8-Y13)
